iggy's room part 1

I started this project last wednesday.. which I had taken leave.. a good buddy of mine told me that it would be a quick few hours job to paint just one room.. you'll know later in the blog why I didn't do it during Maulidur Rasul holiday..

On Tuesday, we went to the hardware store and bought some ICI paints, a couple of rollers, brushes, etc which set us back RM270++.. I was so excited to paint iggy's room and had anticipated a few hours of free to do whatever I wanted on Wednesday..

Started late because I had to send ami to work and iggy to my in-laws.. Laid the newspaper around 11am and started to paint the whitewash primer on the walls.. Just so you know.. this was my first attempt ever in my whole damn life painting a whole room by myself.. And so I only finish applying the primer only at 2pm.. It was cool though because I cranked out my hifi to Metallica's S&M CD.. Got to remember to wear slippers next time because at the end of the day I got paint and carbon on my feet!

First coat of paint on the top wall started at 3pm after a quick lunch and zohor.. The color is Mistral.. Second coat was done about 5 something.. Then the lower wall.. The color is Wild Blue Yonder.. Second coat done at 7pm!!! At this point I had consumed 3 cans of 100plus.. about half a litre of Vanilla Coke.. heheh.. and I was beyond tired! and I've yet to paint the doors and window frame!!!
